Neversink River Unique Area—The Neversink River has moderate hikes to a beautiful river, with several gorges and waterfalls, located just a few miles from us.

Fly Fishing in the Neversink—Dry fly fishing was first developed in the US on the Neversink River, just a few miles from us, and we can direct you to guides who will show you why this is still one of the great areas in America.

Delaware Water Gap—We are about a half-hour from this classic 70,000 acre National Park with fishing, floating, and over 100 miles of hiking trails.

High Point State Park—Who knew?  There’s an obelisk at the highest point in New Jersey, and the Appalachian Trail runs through it.  Great hiking, good swimming, very close.

Monticello Motor Club—For a different way to experience the outdoors, you can learn to drive high performance cars on a private closed track about 20 miles from the Cottage in the Pines.

Culture

Forestburg Playhouse—our fabulous summer stock theater, less than 15 minutes away.  Weekend cabarets.

Great local food is available at the rapidly growing number of great new restaurants in our area.  Some of our favorites are:

Hennings Local—A modern American menu, locally sourced, Hennings Local is famous for their trout.

The Dancing Cat Saloon—Fun and casual, with frequent live music, The Dancing Cat Saloon has their own distillery.

Two Rivers Grille—Always good, Two Rivers Grille is very close.
